Beaumarchias - Beau Brunch

By Jessica Mackin
The well known French restaurant Beaumarchais has moved east from the Meat Packing District to open an outpost on Three Mile Harbor in East Hampton, properly named Beaumarchais A La Plage. After learning about their globally popular, over-the-top brunch parties I decided to try the famous "beau brunch" for myself.

This is not your average brunch, it's a brunch party. Upon entering Beaumarchais you are transported to the French Riviera as the international DJ's play. Be ready to pop bottles and have your dancing shoes on. In true "beau brunch" fashion we started with a glass of Veuve Clicqout champagne, a light beverage in comparison to the table next to us that had ordered a bottle of Grey Goose for their table of four.

At this brunch you're going to want to dance. It's a great place to go with a group celebrating a special occasion, even if the occasion is just that it's a Saturday and you're in the Hamptons. If you're looking for a great party along with top of the line cuisine, this is the place to go.
My friend and I decided to split the tartare de thon, tuna tartare with avocado and plantain chips. The tuna was fresh and it was prepared beautifully. For our entrees, the omelette of the day and legumes grilles, the chef's daily assortment of grilled vegetables. Both were a perfect brunch meal. Other menu items include le burger Beaumarcais, ground sirloin with lettuce, tomato, pickles and choron sauce served on toasted brioche bread with pommes frites. Also try le croque monsieur, ham, emmental and truffled creme fraiche on country bread.

Beaumarcais is open for dinner Friday through Sunday starting at 7 PM as well as late night for dancing. Beau brunch is from 2 to 6 PM on Saturday and Sunday. Starting July 4 through Labor Day the restaurant will be open Wednesday through Sunday for dinner.
